Angelia Wilson, SHRM-SCP
Senior HR Consultant
Angelia has over 25 years of Human Resources experience working as an HR business partner in large global corporations. She specializes in providing practical solutions in organizational design, staffing, HR policies, and cultural assessments, with extensive experience in merger integrations. Angelia is passionate about being a true HR partner, rolling up her sleeves to collaborate with clients across diverse environments, including manufacturing, R&D, and corporate services.
Throughout her career, Angelia has worked with leadership teams on strategic human resources planning, leading change management initiatives, and driving process improvements. She has expertise in M&A integrations and HR system integration (Workday and ServiceNow) and brings broad generalist HR experience from corporate settings, customer service centers, and field manufacturing environments.
Since joining our team, Angelia's primary focus areas with clients include compliance (employee handbooks, payroll processes, proper reporting and deposits in state agencies, proper payment of employees), recruiting processes (consistency, structure, tools, interview team training, slate of interview questions), performance management (goal development, feedback cycle, proper documentation), employee development feedback and pay for performance, and resource actions (organization design, employee selection, employee notification, severance processes/benefits), and harassment training.
Angelia has significantly impacted her clients by reconciling noncompliance issues, creating performance management systems, and designing compensation structures. She has helped clients understand the importance of HR tools and processes, thereby making their businesses more successful.
Her primary motivation is enhancing business success. She thrives on listening to the client and learning of the gaps in current processes then designing straightforward and easy-to-use tools for them. Angelia enjoys converting skeptics of HR into advocates by demonstrating the true value HR provides to organizations.
Outside of work, Angelia enjoys being outdoors in the sunshine and on the water, whether at NC beaches, lakes, or mountain streams. She obtained her Master's degree in Industrial and Labor Relations from West Virginia University and is a certified SHRM-SCP.
